This post will be explaining to you all how I curl my hair and revive each day. So let’s get stuck in! I use 3 products after my wash and go if I am going for a stretched curl look. These products are;
- Jamaican Black Castor Oil
I use this after I have treated my hair. I apply small amounts to a section of my hair and work in from the root to the end.
- Blueberry Bliss – leave in conditioner
I take small sections of my hair and apply this product. After raking this in I will twist this section and repeat.
- Eco Styler – Argan Oil
SMALL AMOUNTS GUYS! I take a very small amount of Eco Styler on my now twisted hair and work this into each section. I untwist as I am going along which also helps to make sure I haven’t missed anything.
Then I style my hair however I desire. I have many different products that I would typically use to have my curls popping, but when I am looking for a quick fix this takes me under 30 minutes to do. Reviving my curls takes me no more than 10 minutes and here’s what I use;
- Water Bottle
I spray, spray, spray and spray! Keep spraying! Once I have done this I will work my fingers through my hair. I don’t need to add more of the products above as I am able to already feel the products in my hair coming back to life. Water bottle is your best friend.
- Natural Curl Enhancing Mousse
Now this product I wont add until around day 5-6 of reviving and when I do, I apply this mousse only to the ends of my hair.
Reviving my curls this way buys me at least a week and a half to two weeks before wash day approaches, however, not all products mesh well together. For example if you want to achieve stretched curls but you are also using other products, this may not work well with Eco Styler. It may create visible white bits which will mean wash day has come about sooner than expected for you =(. Another example from my personal experience for you is I have found that mixing Shea & Coconut curling custard with Eco Styler = Bad business for me. These two together do me no favours, just increases my water bill each month!
But like I say, what doesn’t work for me may just work for someone else, I am just sharing my experience with you all!
